I am a strong tea and coffee drinker; the Peruvian and Solomon Islands cacao has the intense, dark, chocolatey profile, and just the right amount of fat for things to go smooth. The flavour profiles as described on the website and packaging are very accurate to taste; and a perfect mug of cacao can be made when following the recommended methods. If I could give 6 starts I would. Solomon Islands Cacao, is by far my favourite. I really love it's smoky flavour. And despite the low caffeine, for me, the high theobromine count gives me heart felt creativity & motivation without the caffeine jitters. And if I want a nice soothing evening drink, I just make it a bit weaker.
Amazing product. I especially enjoy the fruity notes from the Daintree cacao. I heat up coconut water and add it, so delicious!!!

I love coffee, but I love Soma's ceremonial cacao more and it's now my go to morning ritual. Not only is the cacao amazing (I'm a Solomon Islands lover) but the business seems to deeply care about the sustainability and quality of the product, and the success and wellbeing of their suppliers around the world.

OUR STORY
Welcome! We’re Rose and Alistair. We met by chance and fell in love on a beach in the South of Mexico, where we also discovered and fell in love with cacao in its purest form.
To us Soma will always be a passion project. We love introducing people to real cacao. We love researching its health and well-being benefits. We love knowing that our support of small farmers makes the cacao industry fairer and more sustainable. Above all, we love trying dozens of cacaos from all around the world, looking for the ones that are good enough to share with you.
