Solomon Islands Cacao

I’ve tried almost all your single origin cacaos, and had to come back for more in bulk size of the Solomon Islands. The most chocolatey flavour I’ve found so far, absolutely delicious - and it goes further because I’m using less per cup to get the same depth of flavour.

Solomon Island blend is a hit!

I practically order cacao on a subscription, and the Daintree variety is my go-to staple, but I recently tried the new Solomon Islands origin and it is exactly as they describe it. It smells very much like smoky Russian Caravan tea! I don't think I'll give up my Daintree crush, but if you are on the fence about which origin to try next, give the Solomon Islands cacao a spin! Delish!

My favourite

I recently tried 3 different blends. Solomon Islands won it for me. So very smooth and delicious with a depth of flavour. Seemed to bring on very interesting and colourful dreams too.

Distinctly Unique & Complex

The Solomon Island Cacao is a one of a kind. It has the all the hallmarks of the other Soma cacao - creaminess, richness, full-bodied and high quality. One characteristic that stands out with Solomon's is the impossible to miss smoky flavour and scent. My first cup was really challenging...I am now at the end of the large pack and can definitely say I have warmed to it. Is it my favourite in the range? Probably not; but it definitely is a quality contender - makes me think of campfires and smoky, roasted foods! On a side issue - I used this in a brownie recipe after my first cup as I was not sure I would get through the pack (which I did with time) but OMG - the brownies!! They were gooey inside and a perfect thin outside crisp like a great brownie should be! The smokiness was still there but OMG - they were the best (and probably most expensive) brownies I've ever had!! :)

Campfire bliss

This is our favourite origin so far. It has a deep smoky note, we add a touch of sea salt and it's like magic! Like a warm hug by the fire on a cold winter night. Perfect for Melbourne 🖤

A unique flavour experience

The Solomon Islands Cacao certainly does deliver a unique flavour experience.
The smoky scent when you open the bag alone lets you know you’re in for something different.
Along with the smoky flavour there is a dry hint of almonds. In terms of bitterness I find it to sit midway between the Daintree and Mexican cacao with the Mexican being the more bitter.
I call it my campfire cacao.
If you’re after a flavour experience definitely give this one a go.

Beautiful

Love this. Have it every morning instead of coffee and sometimes an extra cup during the day when I want to draw/paint. I feel like it boosts my creativity and gives me that extra push!

Beautiful product.

The Soloman Islands Cacao is creamy and beautifully zesty, without being overly bitter. I really love it and it's my choice of the varieties that Soma offer. It's organic, which is a huge plus.
