Ingredients: ⭐️ 1 2/3 cup wholemeal flour ⭐️1 cup coconut sugar ⭐️100g Soma Cacao ⭐️100g good quality dark chocolate (70% +) ⭐️1 tablespoon chia seeds ⭐️1/4 teaspoon baking powder ⭐️1/4 teaspoon baking soda ⭐️1 cup (200g) beetroot (boiled, cooled, peeled and grated) ⭐️ 1/4 cup coconut oil ⭐️ 3 tablespoons oat milk or coconut milk ⭐️ a little sea salt (optional)
Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 20cm square baking pan (or thereabouts) with baking paper. 2. Melt Soma Cacao with the dark chocolate either using the double boiler method (per our previous recipes) or in the microwave 3. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl, then add all wet ingredients (including the cacao/chocolate mixture) and mix until combined. 4. Pour the mixture into your baking pan and smooth it out. 5. Bake the brownies in the oven for 15-20 minutes (depending on whether you like them more moist/fudgy or crispy!) Note they do set more over time. Allow them to cool and continue to set while still in the baking pan.
