Mexican Spiced Cacao Smoothie

A super quick, summery recipe! We know some of you don't like to have warm drinks on hot days so this is a great alternative to get your daily cacao kick without the heat...

𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
🔅1/4 cup very hot (but not boiling) water
🔅2 tablespoons Soma Cacao
🔅1 tablespoon almond or peanut butter
🔅1 teaspoon honey (or maple syrup or agave nectar) - optional
🔅1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🔅1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
🔅 pinch cayenne pepper
🔅1 medium banana (cut into chunks)
🔅1/2 cup oat milk (or other plant milk)
🔅handful of ice cubes

𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱
1. Blend hot water, cacao, nut butter, banana, honey, vanilla extract and spices in a Nutribullet or equivalent high speed blender. This will melt the cacao back down into a paste making it easier to blend with the cold milk.
2. Add banana, milk and ice, blend again until frothy!
Optional: sprinkle cacao ontop. Add extra milk if you'd prefer it a little less thick.
